What is The Works package?
The Works is Number Supermarket's complete business telephone package. For £24.99 per month you get up to three inbound business numbers, 1000 free inbound minutes, two outbound VoIP licences with unlimited free outbound minutes, four call features of your choice from a menu of more than 20, a real time reporting suite and a UK-based account manager. It is designed for new start-ups, SMEs, charities and public sector organisations that want a full phone system without a phone system's price tag.
How much does The Works cost?
The Works costs £24.99 per month. There are no setup fees and no long-term contract, and your price is fixed until 2027. If you need something simpler, our Solo package starts at £14.99 per month and gives you one hosted business number that you can add features to as you grow.
What do the 1000 free inbound minutes cover?
The 1000 free inbound minutes are the calls your customers make to your business numbers each month, delivered to wherever you have chosen to route them. Outbound minutes are separate and are unlimited and free on the two VoIP licences included with The Works, so in normal use most businesses on The Works do not see a per-minute call bill at all.
How many business numbers do I get with The Works?
Up to three inbound business numbers are included. You can take all three at once or start with one and add the others later. They can be any mix of ranges, so a typical set-up might be an 0800 freephone number for your main advertised line, an 0330 national number for existing customers, and a local 01 or 02 number for a specific town or region.
Which number types can I choose from?
You can choose from 03, 08, 01 and 02 ranges. That includes 0800 and 0808 freephone numbers, 0330, 0333 and 0345 national numbers, and 01 or 02 geographic numbers for any UK area code. Each range behaves differently for the person calling you, so it is worth picking the mix that suits your customers rather than taking three of the same type.
What are the four included call features worth?
The four call features included with The Works have a combined recommended retail price of £40.00 per month, so the features alone are worth more than the package costs. You choose which four you want from the full menu of more than 20, and you can change your mind as your business changes.
How much do extra call features cost?
Additional call features beyond your included four are £9.99 per month each. The one exception is IVR auto-attendant, which carries a one-off £25 setup fee instead. There is no minimum, so you can add a single feature for a busy season and drop it again afterwards.
Which call features can I choose from?
The full menu includes Voicemail with Voice2Email, Call Queue, Out-of-Hours Messaging, Call Recording, IVR Auto-Attendant, Hunt Group, Time and Date Plan, Ratio Call Plan, Area Call Plan, Multi-Phone, Mid-Call Transfer, Call Whisper, Pre-Connection Greeting, Number Display, Web Management and Reporting, Disaster Recovery, the iPhone and Android app, and Fax2Email. Most businesses start with voicemail to email, a call queue, an out-of-hours message and call recording.
How long does it take to set up The Works?
About an hour in total. Choosing your numbers takes a couple of minutes, telling us where calls should ring and what should happen out of hours takes around ten, and your account manager then configures your features, tests the routing and confirms you are live. There is no engineer visit, no line installation and no new handsets, because your numbers are virtual.
What is the difference between The Works and the Solo package?
Solo is £14.99 per month and gives you one hosted business number routed to a mobile, landline or IP handset, with call features available at £9.99 per month each. The Works is £24.99 per month and adds two more numbers, 1000 free inbound minutes, two outbound VoIP licences with unlimited free outbound minutes, four included call features worth £40.00, the real time reporting suite and a named UK-based account manager.
Can I upgrade from Solo to The Works later?
Yes. You keep the number you already have and we simply move you onto The Works, so there is nothing to reprint and nothing to tell your customers. Most businesses upgrade when they take on their second or third member of staff, or when they start advertising a freephone number.
Where can my calls be routed?
Anywhere in the UK. Calls to your business numbers can ring a mobile, a traditional landline, a desktop softphone or a SIP handset, and you can change the destination whenever you like. You can also route different numbers to different places, or send calls to different destinations at different times of day using a Time and Date Plan.
What are the two outbound VoIP licences for?
The two outbound VoIP licences let two people make calls out of the business showing your business number rather than their personal one. They work on a desktop softphone, the mobile app or a SIP handset, and outbound minutes on them are unlimited and free. It means a two-person team can operate as one business line in both directions.
Is the price really fixed until 2027, and do I need a contract?
Yes. The Works is £24.99 per month with the price fixed until 2027, and there are no setup fees. You are not tied into a long-term contract, and as a consumer buying at distance you also have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Number Supermarket is an Ofcom regulated Communications Provider, so your numbers are also portable if you ever choose to move them elsewhere.
