When you call an 0870 number on Virgin Media your call charge is made up of two parts.
• A Service Charge, which is paid to the company that you are calling (e.g. a customer service line, or chat line).
• An Access Charge which is paid to Virgin Media.
The Service Charge can be up to 13p per minute. The company you are calling must make it clear how much their service charge is whenever they promote their 0870 number.
The cost of the Access Charge depends on whether you are calling from a Virgin Media landline or a Virgin Media mobile.
The Access Charge when calling an 0870 number from a Virgin Media landline is 11.25p per minute. However, depending on which phone package you have, you may be able to call 0870 numbers for free.
When calling from a Virgin Media mobile, the Access Charge is 50p per minute.
