Calling any 0800 number is free as a BT customer.
In July 2015 OFCOM introduced changes making it free to call any 0800 number from any UK mobile. This means all BT customers may call an 0800 number without incurring charges, whether they are a mobile or landline customer. If you have an allowance of minutes, calling an 0800 number bought from Numbersupermarket does not deplete them. Likewise, if you are a pay-as-you-go customer, calling an 0800 number does not use up your credit.
Calls to 0800 numbers from BT mobile phones before June 2015 could incur charges. Calling from a BT landline has always been free. The June 2015 changes have made it free to call an 0800 number from any UK telephone, whether landline or mobile.
Calling an 0800 number from abroad with your BT telephone will not be free. It should incur the same charges as calls to any geographic telephone number within the UK. Exact charges will depend on your location, plan, and roaming rates.
