If you have to call a 0333 number, BT’s latest price guide (April 2017) shows the cost as being 12p per minute plus a setup fee of 21p. BT does, however, offer a choice of calling plans, which means that depending on when you make your call, it could be free.
With BT’s calling plans:
- ‘Unlimited Anytime Calls’: The cost of your call to a 0333 number is free as it’s included in your calling plan.
- ‘Unlimited Evening & Weekend Calls’: With this plan, you only have to pay for calls, including 0333 numbers, that you make between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday.
- ‘Unlimited Weekend Calls’: Calls to a 0333 number are free at the weekend.
For those on the ‘BT Basic’ call plan, there are no free calls. All calls to a 0333 number on this plan cost 11.3p per minute plus a 3.3p set-up fee.
If you make a call to a 0333 number from a BT mobile, this is part of the set of free minutes offered with a BT mobile plan. Once these are used up, the cost of making a call is 35p per minute.
