UK based phone numbers that begin with 08 are classed as non-geographical numbers, meaning they will not be treated as long distance calls. Typically, such numbers will appear begin with 0800, 0845 or 0870 and are traditionally used by orgnaisations for promotional purposes.

VOXI will charge 45p per minute for all calls made to 08 numbers through their network. However, there is an exception for calls made to 0800 and 0808 telephone numbers that are registered to charities. These calls will incur no charges, regardless of the length of call, so long as it is made from within the UK.
