It is free to call any 0800 number as an EE customer.
Since the 1st of June 2015, it has been entirely free to call 0800 numbers from any UK mobile. This means that all EE customers, whether landline or mobile, will be able to call any 0800 number free of charge. Calling an 0800 number from your EE mobile will not use any time from your free minutes allowance, or cost anything to pay-as-you-go customers.
Before June 2015, it could cost upwards of 20p a minute to call an 0800 number from an EE mobile phone. It has always been free to call business 0800 numbers from EE landlines. The changes implemented on June 2015 have made it free to call 0800 numbers from any UK mobile as well as landlines.
If you call from abroad with your EE mobile, it will not be free. Calls from abroad to 0800 numbers will cost the same as calls to geographic UK telephone numbers, which depend on factors such as your location and roaming plan.
