03 Numbers – Buy An 03 Number Now

If you’re looking to get a new telephone number for your business, buying an 03 number may be the perfect move. Although they are relatively new in the industry, they have quickly become the standard for non-geographic numbers. While not freephone, for most people calls to 03 numbers come out of their minutes allowance – and according to the Government’s own call charges website, the maximum any landline can be charged when phoning an 03 number is 9 pence per minute. Start your purchase now by picking whichever 03 number range you are interested, or find out more about each below.

03 telephone numbers typically accommodate two fundamental sectors – firstly, 0300s are set aside for non-profit making organisations, government departments and the public sector, for instance, the NHS and HM Revenue & Customs. More and more businesses including B&Q, Argos, and Ford are opting for caller-friendly 03s such as 0344 and 0345 prefixes.

Calls to 03 numbers are billed at the same rate as a call to an 01 or 02 number. They also count towards any inclusive allowances in the same way as calls to 01 and 02 numbers. These rules apply regardless of whether you’re calling from landline, mobile, or payphone in the UK.

Why choose 03 numbers?

  • Calls to 03 numbers cost the same as to an 01 or 02 number
  • Calls to 03 numbers are included in UK mobile and landline call packages as default
  • 03 numbers are a viable alternative to 0800 and freephone numbers
  • As they are non-geographic, 03 numbers give a national presence for your business
  • Our 03 numbers are virtual, meaning you can keep the same number if you move office
  • Most 03 numbers can be used by any company of any size, and there are many memorable numbers still available
  • 03 numbers give any company a national image

Need more details on 03 numbers?

Ofcom introduced UK-wide 03 phone numbers as an alternative to chargeable 08 telephone numbers.

03 Numbers are non-geographic numbers meaning they are not tied to any particular geographic location – this is similar to 08 numbers. However,  03 UK Wide Numbers differ from 084 and 087 telephone number ranges because they are charged at a local rate – even from a mobile.

Calls to 03 numbers cost the same rate as to an 01 or 02 number and are charged at a local rate. Calls to 03 telephone number count towards any inclusive minutes in the same way as 01 and 02 calls.

These rules apply regardless of your phone supplier and include calls from any type of line including mobile, BT, other fixed line or payphone.
